Airport Blessing
So I am totally new to all this blogging stuff but be assured that I read Seth Barnes 10 commandments to blogging(kind of). I am wondering what do I write because I have nothing truly profound to speak of at this moment.
So I will tell you of the first blessing and essentially my reassurance from God that this is his will and I should not fear what is before me.
I traveled from West Palm Beach, FL to Gainesville, GA for the Community Life program and what most people tell me was a dumb decision, I came by plane. Now with the economy going down the drain, airports charge a whole lot of money(which I don’t have) to get more than one suitcase on the plane. Since ComLife is an 11 month shindig I needed to bring along THREE HEAVY suitcases.
Well I began to talk to the curbside baggage check peeps just trying to be nice and we got into the conversation about my passion to serve God as a missionary. They were very interested and intrigued by my wanting to just love people and spread the gospel. So while they began to check my bags he gave me the price, $200. I had to get to Georgia so I relectantly handed him debit card.
While I exchanged contact information with another person who asked to know more about this Jesus Dude (as he put it), the other guy pulled some strings on behalf of his interest in my wanting to serve the Lord.
Okay so he totally came back with my $25 receipt!!! Thats right from $200 to $25, I nearly got on my knees right there in the middle of the airport and thanked God. Well I know that’s not profound but nonetheless it was stinkin AWESOME. God is GREAT!! That’s my little story and in a way I hope it teaches people that Gods hand is in EVERYTHING and he will move in even the smallest things to show his love and glory.
