So I have been to worship sessions tons of times and when I was invited to attend a worship service last night with the Adventures In Missions training camp, I expected the same blank expressions of people who only raised their hands to the Lord when their friends did and even then boringly expressed their awe for the Creator of the Universe with low monotone voices as if he were nothing but a song sung thousands of times, BUT what I got was much more than my new Christian heart could bare and I LOVED every minute of it all.

Now I am not saying that all people worship this way nor am I saying that I have never worshiped God as if I was not grateful for the blood of the lamb. Because I have and I too like many people feared what others may say if I raised my hands too high, or sung too loud,(as if there is such a thing) or expressed my God given talent of dance to the Lord with much appreciation…I AM GUILTY as charged.  I am saying that in a room filled with young believers they worshiped their hearts out to the Lord as if it were their last dying breath and they would not gasp that precious bit of oxygen unless they used it to praise his name and his name alone.

So with songs I have heard many times ALL the people present in that room raised their hands to the Lord God Almighty. People danced, jumped, got on their knees, prayed, and my favorite sung so loud no matter how bad their voices were they were determined to sing loud enough that all the heavens could here the voices of the wretched men and women below. I know I am going on in many long metaphoric sentences but I am trying to explain the greatness of Gods presence only to realize that unless you experience it for yourself you cannot imagine what my heart ached and yearns for.
I am now and forever convinced that worshiping and praising God any less than that to me would be truly unacceptable so I am devoted as not only a follower of Christ but a true open hearted no fear worshiper of God.

‘Therefore since we have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken let us so worship God with reverence and awe for our God is a consuming fire”
